There are regular buses to the city, but staying here with a private vehicle is strongly recommended. There is little to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but Puilboreau’s village centre is just 5 minutes’ drive away. Here, guests can find quaint cafes and traditional French shops. Rooms are basic, but provide an affordable option during La Rochelle’s more expensive peak season.
