The pleasant town of Annecy in France’s south east is a wonderful place to enjoy some spectacular scenery, sumptuous food, and historic architecture. Visitors should head straight to the city centre of Annecy, as it is here that you will find some of the best attractions in the town. A number of beautiful Annecy hotels are conveniently located around many of the city centre’s top attractions. The historic Palais de l’Isle is perhaps the most loved attraction in Annecy. Nearby this 12th century building are a number of high end Annecy hotels located along Rue Perriere. This is a fantastic place to stay if you feel like splurging and sampling a slice of luxury in a wonderful historical setting. If your budget can’t quite stretch to the luxurious setting of Rue Perriere, try some of the mid-range Annecy hotels on Rue Poste. This will still afford you the convenience of staying in the city centre of Annecy, but without the exorbitant price tag to match. This area is also close to the main shopping area in Annecy city centre. Just on the outside edge of the city centre is Avenue Bouvard. This is another good area to search for hotels in Annecy. Hotels in this area range from budget to mid-range. They are good value but lack some of the character of those closer to the middle of the city.
