A total of six bridges connect all parts of Angers, France, located on both Maine River banks less than 300kms west of Paris in the Loire Valley. This mid-sized French city was once the capital of a region called Anjou which governed not only large parts of France, but also the UK. Much of Angers glorious past is still preserved in the city’s imposing 13th century castle fortress, its many museums, and even a lot of the hotels in Angers city centre.
