Sokos Vaakuna is a very comfortable modern hotel.
All rooms are of medium size and kept in very good condition. They are very modern and tastefully decorated in autumnal colours - including blackout curtains, after all in summer the sun never sets in Rovaniemi. The bathrooms are also in very good condition
Restaurant:
The restaurant is again modern in style but tastefully blends more local and traditional wares.
Lobby:
The lobby area is medium in size, decor used is very modern with much use of glass, metal framework and tiled floors. Adjacent to the lobby is a seating area which combines with a pub which is one of the most popular meeting places in town.
Exterior:
It is a very modern property typical of the architecture found in this northern city and looks a little cold and bland but this is not indicative of the style and quality found inside.
