This is a high standard hotel in an ideal location with direct access to the department store from the lobby. It should be noted, however, that the hotel can be noisy at weekends due to the hotel's popular nightclub which stays open til the small hours.
The rooms are medium in size. They are in very good condition. The use of pine wood and light colouring give them a warm atmosphere. The bathrooms are also in good condition.
The main restaurant, the 10th floor brasserie/ dining/ nightclub is on the top floor and serves breakfast, international food and has beautiful views over Helsinki. The restaurant on the ground floor, is an American style diner.
Lobby:
The large semi-circular reception area is decorated in art-deco style. There is a large seating area and a large wooden reception desk.
Exterior:
The hotel is part of a large modern building, also hosting a department store, one of the biggest in Finland. It is a typical 'Helsinki style' building - built for the Helsinki Olympics in 1952 - with a traditional facade.
