Introduction to Luosto, Finland
Located within the Arctic Circle, the town of Luosto is found in the northern reaches of Finland. It has a year round cold climate, not to mention a wonderful national park commonly called Pyha Luosto National Park. The national park was founded only in 2005. However, before this date, there were two national parks in the region, which are now conjoined. Hotels in Luosto are primarily used to serve nature lovers. Many Luosto hotels are perfect bases for visitors going on a Lapland nature hunt in the surrounding national parks. The 962 highway passes directly through town and leads to the northwest and southeast of Luosto. There aren’t an enormous range of hotels in Luosto, but the ones that do exist provide comfortable amenities and ample services. There are a number of places within Luosto that offer safaris into Pyha Luosto National Park, the most visited attraction in this area of Lapland.
