Introduction to Helsinki - Kaisaniemi Station
Kaisaniemi is one of the central districts of Helsinki, situated north of Helsinki Central Railway Station and south of Hakaniemi. It has its own metro station, and Kaisaniemi Station hotels provide access to the city centre as well as destinations in and around the capital city. This station also contains a 'study tunnel' that connects the metro to the nearby university. The station is just south of the famous Kaisaniemi Park, featuring a soccer pitch, tennis courts and basketball courts right along the Siltasaarensalmi Strait. The oldest public memorial in Helsinki, Freemason's Grave, and the city's oldest greenhouse are also located in the park.
