Finland is increasingly a popular visitor destination for its fascinating history and regions of unspoilt natural beauty. The country's largest urban area is Helsinki, including its adjacent city of Espoo, together holding 45 per cent of the entire population. Beyond the city borders are small towns, forests, farms and Nuuksio National Park. While its beaches along its nearly 60km shoreline are not the main attraction, sandy stretches like Haukilahti, Matinkyla and Toppelund offers swimming, changing cabins and lifeguards.
