Located on the northern Fiji island of Vanua Levu overlooking Savusavu Bay with its awe-inspiring mountain scenery, the idyllic small town of Savusavu is surrounded by steep hills and is the island's main tourist hub. The centre of town is home to several bubbling hot springs, three picturesque marinas, and a range of mouth-watering restaurants. Between May and October more than 100 yachts can be seen in the natural marinas. The town, with its old world charm, offers its visitors excellent snorkelling options that are available at Lesiaceva Point, as well as some scenic walking routes around the Savusavu Hills. Situated southeast of town, the Hibiscus Highway follows a coastal route, taking travellers across historic plantations housing a number of gorgeous colonial-style homesteads. Heading 17 miles east, visitors can reach the striking Natewa Peninsula offering recreational outdoor activities such as kayaking, bird watching, fishing and swimming.
