Getting There

Getting to Waterford
By air: Waterford Airport is fairly small and has a limited number of routes. There are daily services to London Luton and less frequent services to Manchester and Lorient. The alternative is to fly to Cork Airport or Dublin International Airport.
By rail: Iarnrod Eireann (Irish Rail) has services to Rosslare (via Wexford), Dublin (via Kilkenny) and Limerick (via Carrick-on-Suir). Waterford Station is located on the North Quay.
By car: the road network in Ireland is generally very well maintained. To reach Waterford from Dublin or Carlow take the N9; from Wexford, Rosslare, Cork and Newross, take the N25 and from Limerick, Shannon and Galway, take the N24.
By ferry: there are a few different options available if you wish to arrive by ferry from either Britain or France. Rosslare is the nearest port (one hour drive) and there are sailings to Pembroke and Fishguard in Britain and Cherbourg and Roscoff in France. Irish Ferries have a regular service between Dublin Port and Holyhead and Stena Line operates between Dun Laoghaire and Holyhead.
