Getting There

Getting to Killarney
By air: the nearest airport is in Kerry, featuring frequent connections from Dublin, Liverpool, London Stansted and Manchester. International services link Lorient in France and Frankfurt, Germany with Kerry. The airport is 15 minutes by shuttle bus or car from Killarney.
By car: to reach Killarney from Dublin, you need to take the N7 south-west as far as Limerick and then take the N21 all the way to Killarney. From Cork, the N22 will take you in a westerly direction to Killarney.
By taxi: taxi service is available from Kerry airport and several taxi companies operate out of Killarney, providing service in the town and also to neighbouring communities.
By ferry: the nearest port is at Cork, which is just over 50 miles from Killarney. Daily car ferry services are available from March to January from Swansea in South Wales, with the journey taking around 10 hours. Once-weekly service is also available from Roscoff in France, a journey of 12 hours.
