Natural History Museum: this establishment is ideal for children as it is both educational and fun. It boasts a selection of skeletons and other interesting historical artefacts. You will find a variety of preserved creatures in jars and a display of animals.
Merrion street. Open: 10:00 to 17:30, Monday to Saturday.
National Wax Museum: this popular museum will undoubtedly delight both the old and young. It is Ireland’s only wax museum and boasts life-like wax models of some of Ireland’s most famous figures. A section of the museum has been designed especially for children, World of Fairytale and Fantasy, where young ones get the chance to see some of their favourite fairy-tale characters.

Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA): this is a fairly new gallery and focuses on contemporary works by Irish artists. Permanent and temporary exhibits can be enjoyed and there is a cafe and gift shop on-site.
Royal Hospital, Military road. Open: 10:00 to 17:30, Tuesday to Saturday; 12:00 to 17:30, Sunday.
Kilmainham Gaol: played an important role in Ireland’s development from the 1780s to the 1920s. Today, it is one of the largest unoccupied jails in Europe and offers tours and exhibitions for visitors.
