Dublin Travel Guide - Getting Around

Tram: the city’s tram service is known locally as ‘Luas’ and offers two main routes. One of the lines travels from Stephen's Green and the other runs west from Connolly Station to Heuston Station and then continues to destinations southwest of the city.
Taxi: taxis are plentiful in Dublin during the daytime hours however they can be expensive. After a night on the town, taxis can be tricky to find and you will be guaranteed a long queue at any of the taxi ranks. To avoid this, pre-book a taxi in advance by telephone.
Dublin Bus is the main service provider and offers routes to and from Dublin’s main bus station, Busaras. There are many night bus services which also depart and terminate from here.
