Theatre: a great way to relax in the capital is to visit the theatre and watch a show. Dublin has a wide variety of theatres with productions ranging from Irish culture, experimental performances and pantomime. The main theatres include the Gaiety, Peacock, Abbey, Tivoli and the Gate. There are also many smaller venues offering contemporary performances.
Shopping: Dublin is one Ireland’s key shopping destinations. The city boasts many shopping centres, department stores, antique shops, designer boutiques and small, independent shops. Many of the city’s shopping areas are complemented by street performers and musicians.
Eating out: Dublin offers many eateries to suit all tastes and budgets. The majority of restaurants can be found on the south bank of the River Liffey and around Grafton street and the Temple Bar district. There are numerous places to enjoy international cuisine as well as traditional Irish fare.
Golf: just 10 minutes from Dublin city centre is St Margaret's Golf and Country Club. This golf club offers golfers an 18-hole champion course as well as practice areas and restaurant facilities. These enormous parklands are a popular place for visitors to come and enjoy a game, regardless of how good they are.
