By air: Dublin is served by Dublin International Airport, which is the main gateway into Ireland and is conveniently situated just six miles north of central Dublin. It handles many domestic and international flights every day to many major European destinations. Dublin International Airport also serves daily flights to and from many UK airports, with a flying time of just 1 hour to London.
By train: the city is well-connected by train services to destinations all across the country. The city has two main railway stations: Heuston Station and Connolly Station.
By bus: Dublin’s main bus station, Busaras is the place to head for national coach services. Many nationwide cities are serviced on comfortable air-conditioned buses. While some journeys can be long, the coaches provide a cheaper alternative to train travel. All long-distance journeys include regular breaks.
By road: Dublin can be found at the heart of the country's main motorway and road network, with the M50 motorway offering easy access to many major road junctions. Cars can be hired in the city centre or at the airport.
