Introduction to Tallinn - Airport
Tallinn Airport, or by its full name Lennart Meri Tallinn Airport, is named after a former president and is situated around four kilometres from the city centre. The terminal is found on Lake ulemiste's eastern shore, which has also resulted in the hub being referred to as ulemiste Airport. A bus service runs from the airport to just outside the city centre and the nearest train station is ulemiste, which is 1.5kms away. Due to the airport's close proximity to the city, Tallinn Airport hotels are often grouped with those in the capital. The airport sees over a million passengers passing through the building every year, and the most popular flights go to Helsinki, Copenhagen and London. Those looking to pass the time inside the terminal will find three restaurants, coffee shops, a cigar lounge, a gift shop and a book store. Passenger services also include free wireless, currency exchange, ATMs and a travel agent. Car hire is also available by arrivals, with representation from all the major rental companies.
