Tyne Bridge: built in 1925, Tyne Bridge offers fantastic sights of many of the city’s landmarks along the riverbanks. The bridge itself is also an impressive sight. Close to Tyne Bridge is Gateshead Millennium Bridge, a modern bridge built in 2000 to mark the turn of millennium.
St Nicholas Cathedral: is a stunning church located in St Nicholas Square, dating back to 13th century. The highlight of the church is the Lantern Tower, which has stood the test of times for more than five hundred years.
Newcastle's Laing Art Gallery: displays an impressive collection of masterpieces from contemporary European artists.
The Newcastle Hancock Museum: boasts interesting exhibits of fossilised animals and human remains as well as Egyptian mummies. It’s one of the best natural history museums in the UK.
Chinatown: is bustling with markets and food stalls. Walk around to the Quayside where you can find a plenty of eateries.
