If you are already in the UK, taking a train or a bus to Liverpool is very convenient thanks to excellent and reliable rail and bus services. Motorists can also drive to Liverpool from other destinations in the UK as the city is well-linked by motorways.
By air: Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport, about eight miles south of the centre, serves a number of domestic and international flights. There is one terminal, featuring excellent facilities for passengers. You can find banking services, bureau de change, a number of retail and catering facilities and many shops all scattered around in this fully-equipped terminal.
By bus: buses operate between Liverpool and other destinations in England. Most long-distance buses are provided by the National Express. The National Express coach station is situated in Norton Street in the city centre. Buses leave from London and Birmingham every two hours.
By rail: there are four stations in Liverpool: Liverpool Central, Moorfields, James Street and Lime Street. Lime Street Train Station is the main station in Liverpool, operating regular and reliable services to most of England.
