Activities in Leeds
Shopping: Leeds is a shopping haven for many visitors. You will find several malls as well as the Victorian Quarter where you can find lovely, restored original shop fronts featuring all kinds of unique goodies and souvenirs.
Eating and drinking: head over to the Edwardian Kirkgate Market where you can find countless eateries and food stalls. Located in the heart of the city centre, this is a must visit if you want to eat and enjoy some people watching.
Sample the nightlife: with its thriving student population, Leeds isn’t short of places to drink and dance. The city centre is home to the largest number of bars in the city whereas the outskirts are home to some traditional establishments.
Enjoy a woodland walk: visit Walkeys Canalside Mill, which is the starting point of rail trips and woodland walks as well as other fun rural activities. Here you can learn about the world of honey bee and explore the original cottage of the mill’s boilerman. If you come with children, they will love the Pet Farm, right outside the visitor’s centre.
