If you wish to use the Internet, wireless internet access can be found throughout the airport at several points. Public telephones are scattered throughout the airport and there are also telephones for wheelchair users and text phones for those with hearing difficulties.
Terminal 1 handles all UK and Ireland flights alongside those flying to and from European destinations. Terminal 2 handles flights operating to Europe, with limited long-haul flights. Terminal 3 serves long-haul flights, with a few European destinations catered to. Terminal 4 is mainly served by British Airways and its partners.
The Heathrow Business Centre is located in the Queen’s Building between Terminals 1 and 2. The centre has 20 meeting rooms for hire as well as a theatre-style conference, computer workstations, fax, photocopying, internet, audio and video conferences and shower rooms.
For those travelling with children, KLM Holideck Lounge can be accessed for a small fee. There are three floors of entertainment for everyone in the family. The main deck is a family lounge where you can find an array of newspapers, magazines, books and complimentary drinks.
Eating and shopping: shopping enthusiasts won’t be disappointed in Heathrow Airport as all terminals boast an array of shops and eateries, including famous brands and food chains. Shops include Accessorize, Austen Reed, Dixons, The Body Shop, WHSmiths, duty-free areas and Boots; while restaurants include Caffe Nero, Caviar House and Bagel Street, as well as the ubiquitous fast food chains.
Viewing area: Terminal 1 is the only terminal that boasts a viewing area where you can see the runways and planes. These can be found at the Tin Goose and Caffe Nero.
Baby changing facility: baby changing facilities can be found before and after security control in every terminal.
Parking: is abundant at the airport. There are four options for parking on which include: short-stay; long-stay; business parking; and valet parking. Call +44 121 410 5105 for more information. Long-stay parking is located a short distance from the terminals with a frequent transfer service.
Business parking can be found close to the terminals, while short-stay parking is within easy walking distance from the entrance. Those wishing to take advantage of the valet parking services can drop cars off at the front of each terminal.
