Brighton Museum and Art Gallery: features an impressive collection of displays and galleries in an up-to-date and well-run facility. The museum houses one of the best collections of modern decorative art to be found in the UK, with highlights including the famous ‘Lips’ sofa designed by Salvador Dali and Edward James. Also featured here is a substantial collection of furniture in classic Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles.
An additional exhibit worth taking in is one devoted to the development of pottery with examples beginning with the earthenware of the Neolithic period and moving up to the delicate porcelain figurines that characterised this art form in the 18th century.

Brighton Toy and Model Museum: boasts over 10,000 exhibits that include a variety of popular toys from the last century; period antique toys; a selection of examples of the best offerings from the top toy makers internationally and a model train collection that’s reputed to be one of the finest in the world.

Brighton Fishing Museum: within the museum, you’ll find a variety of exhibits related to fishing and working at sea. Some of the main features include a 27-foot beached boat, extensive collections of photos and prints, and Brighton seafront memorabilia. For visitors interested in more extensive information, computer archives are also available and provide in-depth detail on the local fishing and boating industries.
