Activities

Activities in Brighton
Racing: there are numerous opportunities for racing enthusiasts to enjoy a day out in the Brighton area. Afternoon programmes are run at Brighton Races and during the evening at Brighton’s greyhound stadium. Throughout the year you’ll find hundreds of wide-ranging events, such as the National Speed Trials and the Veteran Car Run and also power boat racing and even kite-racing festivals.
Walking and cycling: are both extremely popular outdoor activities in the area, and the rolling hills of the South Downs draw large numbers of enthusiasts. You can take an organised Brighton Walks tour, such as ‘Legends of the Lanes’ or a ‘Ghost Walk’; and there are audio guides for individual walking tours, available from a company called Tourist Tracks.
