Ripley’s Believe It or Not!: this popular museum features exhibits of the unusual and the downright bizarre from all over the world – in its eight galleries that cover two full floors of the building. Multimedia presentations are scattered throughout the museum and can be viewed on nine televisions and a full-sized movie screen. There are interactive displays that make a visit here enjoyable for the kids as well.

Louis Tussaud’s Waxwork Museum: this version of the Tussaud museum features five full floors of waxwork figures, ranging from pop idols, rock stars and politicians to creatures from the House of Horrors. This is good fun for everyone in the family, with 150 life-like exhibits overall.
87-89 Promenade. Open: 10:00 to 17:00 daily; closed on bank holidays.
Kiln House Gallery: specialises in contemporary art, and features monthly, rotating exhibitions of the works of local and national artists – with special attention paid to those new on the scene. This interesting venue is connected to the Marsh Mill Windmill.
29 Berwick Road. Open: 10:30 to 16:30, daily from Apr to Oct; 11:00 to 16:00, daily from Nov to Mar.
