Spring and summer bring the best weather without a doubt, and the months from May to September see the largest numbers of visitors as well as the warmest temperatures. Being in the centre of the country, it’s not unusual for Birmingham to get hotter than the other major cities; and it’s also not unusual for it to experience sudden changes – a bright, clear day can turn into a wet and windy one quite quickly.
March through May is a particularly colourful time, and is a good time to visit: you’ll find spring flowers in bloom, and find that accommodations, attractions and restaurants are less crowded than in the summer. It can be somewhat rainier in the spring though, and as with the fall, it’s a bit windier as well.
