You’ll find two main terminals: the Main Terminal and the Eurohub Terminal. In both, the check-in and arrivals areas are located on the ground floor; and the departures areas are found on the first floor. Direct flights come in to Birmingham from major cities in Europe, while longer-distance services typically connect at London’s Heathrow or Gatwick airports.
There are ATMs on the ground level of the Main Terminal, and currency exchanges located in both terminals. You’ll also find a medical centre open 24 hours, public telephones, postal services, and a number of food outlets along with an excellent variety of shops.
The needs of disabled passengers are catered for by ramps and lifts, a Minicom system for the hearing impaired and also information counter staff who are proficient in sign language.

Transportation: the airport’s passenger terminals are linked with the city centre by trains which stop at Birmingham New Street station. The trip takes only around 10-15 minutes, and trains leave several times every hour. There’s also efficient bus service that picks up passengers in front of the Main Terminal building: the 900 bus leaves every 20-30 minutes for the city’s Dibgeth station, a major national hub for National Express coaches.
Parking: the Birmingham airport provides for short- and long-term parking requirements in multi-storey car parks and surface lots. Specially-designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities are provided in all parking areas. There are covered parking areas in front of both terminals, where you can drop off and pick up passengers, or park for periods of up to two hours.
For stays of longer than two hours and up to one week, you’ll find multi-storey car parks nearby. Parking for stays of longer than a week is available in more remote car parks that are linked to the terminals by courtesy shuttles operating around the clock.
