Introduction to York - South
Its collection of cultural and historical venues makes York a popular city for tourists. There is much to see and do in this large city, and York South hotels allow visitors to easily access all that the city has to offer. Many highlights of the city are found in York South, including the city's two cemeteries, the York and the Fulford. The Goddards House and its gardens are a popular National Trust attraction located northwest of the famous York Racecourse. Rowntrees Park is a lovely patch of green south of the city walls, across from Fulford Golf Club. Just within the medieval city walls is the York Castle Museum, offering a detailed look at Victorian society. York Dungeon and Clifford Tower are two medieval relics south of the city centre, with the Royal Dragoon Guards Museum close by. York South has a rich history to share within the walls of its well-preserved historic sites.Visit our York Travel Guide
