Introduction to Yelverton, England
Yelverton hotels are delightfully unique country-style inns full of colour and character. This is a sizeable village in southwestern Dartmoor, Devon, in southwestern England. The village highlight is Buckland Abbey, which was built in the 1200s and is protected by the National Trust. In 1951, Buckland Abbey opened to the public. The Garden House is a fine attraction as well. The town came into its own with the opening of a railway station in the 1800s. In the village's south lies Langton Park, where the Yelverton Bohemians Cricket Club makes its home. Nearby is Yelverton Golf Club. On the unusual side, the village has a museum dedicated to paperweights. The historic and hospitable side of town shines through in Yelverton hotels. Ravenscroft Care Home is housed in a striking structure that was for a time Ravenscroft School, and during World War II it served RAF officers. Even if you don't have much time to soak in local attractions, the town makes a great starting point for trips to nearby Dartmoor National Park. other spellings: yerburtunhotels, ylevertun otel, yelverton hotell, yelerton hote, yleburtun hotes
