Introduction to Worthing, England
The southeast coast of England is home to Worthing, a popular visitor spot due to its easy access. The town is served by regular trains, excellent motorways and 'A' roads. Worthing hotels are located along the coastline and in the centre of town. The high season spans the summer months of June, July and August and sees the town receive its highest visitor numbers. Worthing boasts a pleasant beach where swimming and walks are possible. There are many historical buildings in the town such as Beach House, Worthing Pier and Dome Cinema, one of the UK's earliest film houses. The Worthing Museum and Art Gallery houses a valuable collection of Victorian costume and features a sculpture garden with works by local artists. Open spaces are found everywhere and some of the ones not to miss include Brooklands Park, Beach House Park, Highdown Gardens, the stunning Promenade Waterwise Garden and Steyne Gardens.
