Introduction to Tenby, England
Tenby is a picturesque little seaside resort and harbour town of roughly 5,000 inhabitants in southwest Wales. It originated as a Welsh stronghold due to its hilltop location and during medieval times, it was transformed into a walled town with a Norman castle. Part of the walls remain standing today and are a prominent feature to the old town's entrance. The town boasts three beautiful beaches as well as a charming harbour, from which boat trips are available to take you around the clear waters and even offer the possibility of spotting dolphins. The beaches are among the main draws of Tenby, with all three - Castle Beach, North Beach and South Beach - providing large stretches of golden sand. Tenby hotels can be found in the vicinity of all three beaches as well as in the town centre. Walking is a popular pastime in the area, particularly along South Beach heading towards Giltar Point, a stretch which provides stunning views of Caldey Island. The quaint old town with its narrow cobbled streets and elegant Georgian houses also make for a nice stroll. other spellings: tenbyhotels, otelin tanby, thenby hote, tenbi hotell, temby hotle
