Introduction to Stroud, England
Nestled in Gloucester is the small town of Stroud. Due to its proximity to the coast and the popular coastal cities of Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare, the town is an excellent location from which to explore this naturally beautiful region of Britain. Visitors will find several Stroud hotels located in and around Wallbridge train station, just south of the town on the A46. Most attractions in this region are nature-oriented, and just outside the town visitors will find Stratford Park. Here, visitors will also find the Museum in the Park. The museum is free of charge and showcases over 45,000 items that relate to Stroud, such as ceramics, antiques and archeological finds. There is plenty for children to enjoy, such as interactive robots and gardens. The main landmark in the town is the Church of St Lawrence, which dates back to the 13th century. Those able to explore further afield should not miss exploring the famous Brecon Beacons National Park.
