Introduction to Skegness, England
Nestled on the eastern coast of England, Skegness is a popular seaside town. The town is infamous for its Butlins holiday camp, which was opened in 1936 and is considered to be one of the most popular seaside resorts in England. Skegness hotels are primarily located along the beach; however, cheaper options can be found in town, off Castleton Boulevard. A must-visit is the Natureland Seal Sanctuary, which has been voted the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year. Visitors can see penguins, seals, tropical fish and alligators here. Feeding time is a must-see. The mascot of the town is the so-called 'Jolly Fisherman' and his statue can be seen in the centre of Skegness, near the clock tower. Strolling down the pier and along the beach is fun. Near the beach, visitors will find Compass Gardens and a popular boating lake. The main church in the town is the Gothic St Matthew's Church, which was built by the Earl of Scarborough.other spellings: skegnesshotels, skegnses otel, skegenss hotell, skengess hote, skgeness hotle
