Introduction to Sidmouth, England
Sidmouth is a small coastal town of around 15,000 inhabitants in the English county of Devon. The town is surrounded by scenic countryside and is on the South West Coast Path which runs along nearly all of the West Country coastline in England. It is also on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Sidmouth's main source of income is tourism, with the summer months being by far the busiest times of the year. In early August, the town holds an annual folk festival which attracts tourists and musicians alike from all over the world. The majority of Sidmouth hotels are found along the coast overlooking the English Channel. Visitors have a large choice of shopping options in the town, with many interesting local shops as well as a relatively large department store. The town has two attractive beaches, some interesting architecture and plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars to visit. Sid Vale Heritage Centre is home to the local museum, which offers an interesting insight into the history of Sidmouth.other spellings: sidmouthhotels, sidmuoth otel, sidmuth hotell, sidmoth hote, zidmouth hotle
