Introduction to Salisbury, England
Salisbury is at the crossroads of the county of Wiltshire in the south of England and historically an important cathedral city. Guests of this amazing historic town will not fail to notice the spire of the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral that remains an important landmark for the area. There are some fantastic drives in the region. The Wiltshire countryside is a very pleasant as is the nearby Salisbury Plain where the land is wild, open and expansive. Visitors should watch out for the occasional military tank as the Plain is used as a training ground for the British army. The hotels in Salisbury are wide ranging as the centre has always been a staging post for travelers going north, south, east and west. One of the greatest attractions near the city is Stonehenge, a pilgrimage spot for many Britons. Visitors have an excellent array of restaurants, pubs and shop to choose from in the city.
