Introduction to Rugby, England
Rugby is located in the East Midlands of England along the River Avon and has a history that is heavily linked to the railway industry. The industrial aspects of the town have almost disappeared but there are still plenty of businesses keeping the environment lively. The town is close enough to local attractions to make it the sort of place visitors might choose as a base, and within the city itself there are a few historic buildings to enchant the visitor. The Marketplace is perhaps the nicest diversion in town, offering a pleasant Victorian atmosphere for your shopping excursions. Regent Street is also a prime place to shop, eat and have a pint. Of course, the town is also credited with inventing the sport of rugby, so is plenty of space dedicated to this pastime including a museum. With good motorway links guests in Rugby hotels can move quickly to some of the other towns in the area or further north to Yorkshire.
