Introduction to Mundesley, England
Mundesley is an extremely tiny hamlet situated along the coast in Norfolk. Its main attraction is the Mundesley Maritime Museum, arguably the smallest museum in all of England. Housed in the original coastguard lookout tower, the museum highlights the village's maritime and cultural history. The village has been a popular seaside holiday destination since Victorian times. Along its beach are a line of brightly-painted huts that front a wide stretch of sand and sea ideal for playing and lounging. Mundesley hotels typically come in the form of resorts and inns as the village itself has only a small number of amenities. The towns of North Walsham and Stalham are nearby and provide a much wider range of facilities for tourists. Walkers will find the footpaths around the village to be ideal for long leisurely strolls by the sea. Southrepps Common is also near, offering 12 hectares of reed grass and woodland to immerse you in nature. Golfers can take advantage of the nine-hole course and its striking views over the Norfolk coast.
