Introduction to Malmesbury, England
Malmesbury is a small town in the south Cotswold region of Wiltshire, southern England and provides access to a number of other destinations for those that wish to use Malmesubry hotels as a base. In order to reach this part of the country, tourists usually arrange transport to Swindon and then check into Malmesbury hotels. Although the town is perhaps most famous for its freshwater springs, it is the oldest borough in the country according to the Guinness Book of Records. Because of this, it is full of old landmarks such as its Neolithic fort that was constructed between 800 and 500BC. As the freshwater springs were also once regarded as holy waters however, Malmesbury is also home to an abbey that has been around since the 7th century. Although there is plenty to enjoy in the area for tourists, hotels in Malmesbury are available all year round without being fully booked.
