The traditional village of Liphook can be found in the east of the English county of Hampshire.

The village rose to prominence during the 17th century when it was used as a coach stop on the route between the cities of London and Portsmouth.

A large number of Liphook hotels were established during this time, many of which survive to this day.

Although few tourists travel to Liphook these days, the town still manages to offer a modest range of attractions.

Visitors travel here in order to soak away their aches and pains at the Forest Mere health spa, which offers a wide range of modern treatments.

Also of interest is Hollycombe Steam Collection, which celebrates the days of the steam railways.

The last Saturday in October is an excellent time to visit the town as this is when the annual Liphook Carnival takes place, marked by a procession of floats and culminating in a large bonfire.
