Introduction to Leicester - City Centre
One of the oldest cities in England, Leicester was founded by Romans nearly 2,000 years ago. With a total metropolitan population of almost 500,000, this is the biggest city in the East Midlands. Leicester City Centre hotels put visitors in an ideal location from which to enjoy not only the city, but many regional destinations. From the centrally-located railway station, frequent fast services reach London in little more than an hour. Visitors will enjoy the excellent mix of historical and modern attractions in the centre.
