Introduction to Kendal, England
The Lake District market town of Kendal is the main retail and business centre of the area. It is surrounded by the countryside and fells that form a valley made by the River Kent. Being the gateway to the national park means there is a nice selection of hotels in Kendal catering for all budgets. Markets have been held here since the 12th century and are now held in Market Place every Wednesday and Saturday, where local produce can be bought. The hotels in Kendal make this an ideal stop-off point before continuing on to explore the many lakes and fells. Attractions in the town include the Museum of Lakeland Life and Industry, Abbot Hall Art Gallery, the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Museum of Natural History. Before setting out from hotels in Kendal remember to get your stock of the local mint cake to sustain you on your journey.other spellings: kendel otel, kendel hotell, kendel hote, kendal hotes, kendel hotle, kendel hotes
