Introduction to Holt, England
Just less than 10 miles from Cromer lies the peaceful market town of Holt. The town is located in Norfolk and its name is said to have derived from an Anglo-Saxon word for 'woodland'. The village is known for its wealth of Georgian style buildings, which were constructed after many of the town's medieval buildings were completely destroyed by fire in 1708.
