Introduction to Helston, England
Helston is an historical town - and the country's most southerly - located in the county of Cornwall in southern England. The city dates back over 800 years with key industries historically being tin-mining and cattle farming. The city is quite popular amongst tourists, as it contains some of Cornwall's most intriguing festivals and attractions. As a result, there are a number of hotels in Helston for visitors to choose from, many of which are located in close proximity to the main highway that passes through the southern part of the city; the A394. The highway connects this community to a number of important cities in Cornwall, such as Penzance and Penryn. Perhaps the best time of year to visit Helston is during the May 8th Flora Day celebrations. Another interesting attraction is the local Folk Museum, which exhibits many centuries of the town's history, while The Flambards Experience, Grylls Monument and St Michael's Church are also well frequented by tourists. This city is also the birthplace of the world's first triple world boxing champ, Bob Fitzsimmons.other spellings: hestonhotels, helsun otel, elston hotell, hestun hote, hersun hotes, erston hotle
