When the Queen visits Harrogate she likes to call in to Betty’s Tearooms. She doesn’t need to queue for a table like most do at the weekends but for the rest of us it is worth the queue. Something else she doesn’t do is to make use of one of the many wonderful hotels in Harrogate and the surrounding area. Harrogate, in North Yorkshire, is a lovely Victorian spa town with a pleasant centre to walk around. Here you will find beautiful old architecture, fabulous gardens, fine cuisine and wonderful shopping. Many of the Harrogate hotels near the town centre have excellent restaurants and top rated facilities. The summer months can be busy and to stay in some Harrogate hotels visitors need to book well in advance. Some of the attractions in the town include the Mercer Art Gallery, Royal Pump Room Museum, Turkish Baths, Valley Gardens and RHS Garden Harlow Carr, who have their own branch of Betty’s.
