Introduction to Goole, England
Home to England's largest water tower, East Yorkshire's town of Goole is the country's most inland port and is filled with interesting attractions, small pubs and a great shopping district. This small town is located where the Don and Ouse rivers meet, and visitors can take walks along the riverbank all the way to the neighbouring town of Hook. Tourists should visit the Waterways Museum that consists of galleries, boat and dock tours and the floating art gallery, Room 58. Wandering around the main shopping area of Wesley Square, visitors will find some interesting little shops. The town is in the centre of the Hull, York and Doncaster triangle and is a great base for exploring these three cities and the surrounding area. There is some gorgeous accommodation on offer, with the majority of Goole hotels being old converted houses or self-catering country cottages. As it is connected by rail and bus to all major cities in Yorkshire, the town is easily accessible.
