Introduction to Glastonbury, England
The new age town of Glastonbury is famous for its myths and legends regarding Joseph of Arimathea, the Holy Grail and King Arthur as well as its annual festival. Glastonbury Abbey is said to be the oldest Christian church in the world. This Somerset town is filled with historic sights and buildings such as the 14th century barn, home to the Somerset Rural Life Museum and the Chalice Well, at the foot of the hill called Glastonbury Tor with its distinctive tower - actually the partially restored remains of an old church. Most sites are accessible by the numerous walking footpaths. Pilgrims and tourists flock here to witness all that it has to offer, with numerous amenities to service them. Shops selling goods related to new age, spiritual healing and mythology line the streets and there is a wide variety of restaurants, tea houses, cafes and pubs. Tourists on all budgets visit the town and Glastonbury hotels vary accordingly. The town is close to Bristol, making it easily accessible by air and train, and it is connected to the M5 motorway.other spellings: grastonbeauyhotels, glastonbuy otel, glastonbury hotell, glastonbeauie hote
