Introduction to Frodsham, England
The market town of Frodsham is located in the English county of Cheshire along the banks of the River Weaver and under the protection of Frodsham Hill. The main hub of the surrounding area, it is accessible by air and train and M56 motorway passes by the outskirts of the town. This historic town dates back to the 11th century and is the start of the famous Sandstone Trail, one of the country's most popular walks, which stretches for 55kms across the green Cheshire countryside. The trail passes through numerous attractions including Castle Park House, filled with beautiful gardens and housing the Castle Park Arts Centre. Frodsham hotels are mainly converted historic houses and make for some lovely, relaxing stays at all price ranges. The town has a few bars and pubs and the Mersey View nightclub as well, which is famous for playing host to one of The Beatles first shows.
