Introduction to Felixstowe, England
The seaside town of Felixstowe is located on the coast of the North Sea in the county of Suffolk, directly opposite the town of Harwich in Essex. Housing the busiest and largest container port in the world, the harbour also has ferries across the estuary to Harwich, where ferries depart to the Netherlands and Denmark. As well as the pier and the seaside there are numerous attractions throughout this beautiful town including Landguard Fort and the historic railway station that dates back to 1898. The town is accessible by train and bus service from Ipswich, as well as by ferry from Harwich, and the A14 heads directly into town. This popular resort town is filled with activities including water sports, sailing and golf, and has a stunning walk along the promenade.
