Introduction to Falmouth, England
Cornwall's beautiful seaside town of Falmouth is a great destination for a fabulous beach holiday and is home to the third biggest natural harbour in the world. Four main beaches stretch across the area from Pendennis Castle along the coast. Falmouth is also home to many beautiful gardens, all with tranquil settings and great for picnics and afternoon strolls, and there is a large selection of small galleries and museums, the most notable being the National Maritime Museum and the Falmouth Arts Centre. There are some great choices for accommodation both in the town centre and by the seaside; some Falmouth hotels have even won awards for excellence. Eateries come in all flavours with something to please all foodies, and night owls will find their fair share of bars and lovely old pubs and can sip wine beside the sea or play snooker in a pub.
