Introduction to Dudley - Aldridge
The town of Aldridge is an outlying suburb of Birmingham and Dudley, located within the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall in the West Midlands, England. A former industrial town filled with coal mines and lime kilns, the 20th century brought modern shops to Aldridge, paving its way to become Walsall's most affluent area, as it is known today. There are a number of shopping districts in town, including High Street, Anchor Road, and The Parade shopping centre. There are a number of good restaurants in town also, ranging from Chinese, Indian and Greek cuisines, to a pizza place and two fish and chip shops, all of which provide take-away for those who would prefer not to leave the comfort of Aldridge hotels. The Birmingham Speedway is located in town, where visitors can experience the rush of Premier League speedway racing. The highest point in the West Midlands is at Barr Beacon Park, which offers a breathtaking panorama of the area, as well as opportunities for cycling, kite flying and horseback riding.other spellings: aldridgehotels, aldridg otel, alldridge hote, aldrid hotes, hotell adridge, hotle aldrid
