Introduction to Diss, England
The small village of Diss is located close to the A140, going north to south, and the A1066, heading east and west. The railway on the main east coast line passes through the region so in terms of transport, getting to this Norfolk county town is relatively easy. Hotels in Diss are spread around the surrounding villages and feature traditional pubs as well as cost-effective guest houses. The nearby Fenlands are one of the attractions of the East Anglia town, which has Norwich and the Norfolk Broads on its doorstep. Diss Museum rests in the central Market Place at the Old Shambles building. The charity-run museum offers a collection of historical items, from Victorian photographs to clothing items collected from across the region, whose charming quaint villages haven't changed much over the past century. The old churches, village pubs and country estates here are the epitome of England and English rural life. other spellings: dishotels, otelin diys, dees enland, dus hotell, diss hote, dyss hotle
