Introduction to Didmarton, England
The little village of Didmarton lies in the glorious Cotswold Hills, home to traditional stone-built cottages set next to tumbling streams in one of the most picturesque corners of England. The Cotswolds region attracts a huge number of visitors annually, but manages to retain its ancient charms in spite of the overcrowding. Visitors booking Didmarton hotels in the holiday season are advised to do so well in advance. Records of the village in the mid-16th century show it to have been very small, remaining that way until the last century. With its pretty 12th century church and winding streets, it's the perfect place to stop off for a pint at one of its three 18th century pubs. The village's one claim to fame is its August Bank Holiday Bluegrass festival, celebrated as one of the most popular in the whole of the UK, with many international Bluegrass stars arriving to perform. other spellings: didnartomhotels, otelin didmartom, didmartno hotell, didmarotn hote, didmatron
